Nuit Blanche 2011

Every year Torontonians head out for the all night art extravaganza.  Yes, thats right, Nuit Blanche has come again! Did you know Nuit Blanche, meaning "white night" in french, is a common idiom, which means "to pull an all nighter"? And thats exactly what we did.  Alyana and I journeyed out into the  Toronto streets to explore the abundance of breathtaking and original art.  As always we had fantastic, albeit chilly, night out exploring all Toronto has to offer, fashionably, of course!

Surprise Surprise!

It was in the works for a good month, and when Sunday finally rolled around my friends and I celebrated our friend Chloe’s Sweet Sixteen (cue Duff Sister’s) with a surprise afternoon tea! With pinkies up, it was a lovely afternoon coloured in the traditional Tiffany blue – Breakfast at Tiffany’s, anyone, anyone?  And of course what kind of party is it without a crown to top the head of the birthday girl!

It's that time of year again.  The leaves begin to change, and you wake up to the brisk autumn air.  We say goodbye to the short shorts and tanks, and welcome scarves and cashmere sweaters, and of course hot chocolate! The leithalyspeaking girls and our dear friend Julia took advantage of the weather and took some fashion-y photos!

The Modern Family Awards!

Last Sunday night the Emmy’s took place, if you didn’t watch it, Modern Family did a sweep of all their nominations! OH and I shouldn’t forget the surprise of the night, Charlie Sheen. Yes indeed, he presented an award but not before giving ‘heartfelt’ good wishes to “Two and a Half Men” (maybe more acting lessons are in need!).

But now onto the fashion, my favorite look of the night ironically blended perfectly with the carpet! The best dressed at the 2011 Emmys was Nina Dobrev decked out in a red Donna Karan dress, looking elegant and stunningly sophisticated.

Adieu! xo

Have We MET?

This summer I was finally introduced to New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, and boy was it beautiful! (Get my title? The play on words was pretty clever eh!?)
I was lucky enough to catch the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibit in the nick of time! It became one of the museums top ten most visited exhibition with 661, 598 visitors who stopped by to admire the installation. Starring in amazement, it boggled me how creative some human beings can be (I wish that was me)! My absolute favorite part of the exhibition was his collaborations with Philip Treacy (the famous milliner), the hats were to die for had we crafted with the utmost detail. Oh and did I mention, I walked the length of the museum brushing shoulders with non other then Kirstie Alley?
 Well, I DID!

What I Wore: Barton Perreira Sunglasses, Aritzia Shorts, Tory Burch Shirt, and Donald J. Pliner Shoes.

Selena Gomez, Mexican Style.

The beautiful young starlet was shot by Gomillion & Leupold for Elle Mexico for its August issue. I love the use of warm colours to emulate a vintage feel!
