Best Dressed at the 2012 Oscars

Michelle Williams was the biggest surprise of the night! In the words of Jone Rivers "The Best Actress nominee is stunning in a coral strapless Louis Vuitton peplum gown paired with a pink Bottega Veneta clutch and Forevermark jewels." 

The other dress that topped them all was Rooney Mara is Givenchy! Looking absolutely gorgeous in the gown with striking red lips!

The 2011 Golden Globes Best Dressed Celebrities

Although the red carpet was covered in glitz and glam, no one nailed the dress code better then Charlize Theron and Emma Stone! 


Emma Stone the 23 year old beauty looked stunning in a pleated chiffon Lanvin gown; finishing the look of with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and a Cartier clutch. 

Charlize Theron looked drop dead gorgeous in an ethereal Dior couture gown; adding a Cartier museum piece, flown in from Switzerland!

Over the past few weeks the Leithaly Speaking Girls had the opportunity to meet and schmooze with our favorite style and blogging icons! 

Yes, that’s right ladies, we met The Man Repeller herself, Leandra Medine! The wonderful Holt Renfrew held an event in her honour, and we were sure to attend covered in layers! The energy and excitement was brimming among the sea of arm parties, bow ties, and of course harem pants.  We had a fantastic night out with many of Toronto’s' most fashionable, and of course our fashion hero, Leandra.

Last week we also were thankful to attend a celebration to debut Erin Kleinberg’s lovely new collection! The intimate gathering held at Lost & Found, featuring exclusive pieces, was a blast.  The á la mode collection is stunning, the space is beautiful, and the guests were as fashionable as could be. The use of chiffon mixed with knit and sequins was superb and the epitome of this seasons trends! Meeting wonderful new bloggers, Vivienne was even spotted as a potential muse!

Nuit Blanche 2011

Every year Torontonians head out for the all night art extravaganza.  Yes, thats right, Nuit Blanche has come again! Did you know Nuit Blanche, meaning "white night" in french, is a common idiom, which means "to pull an all nighter"? And thats exactly what we did.  Alyana and I journeyed out into the  Toronto streets to explore the abundance of breathtaking and original art.  As always we had fantastic, albeit chilly, night out exploring all Toronto has to offer, fashionably, of course!

The Leithaly Girls along with Devyn and many others participated in "Trick or Eat" and raised a whopping 4000+ pounds of found for local food banks!

Surprise Surprise!

It was in the works for a good month, and when Sunday finally rolled around my friends and I celebrated our friend Chloe’s Sweet Sixteen (cue Duff Sister’s) with a surprise afternoon tea! With pinkies up, it was a lovely afternoon coloured in the traditional Tiffany blue – Breakfast at Tiffany’s, anyone, anyone?  And of course what kind of party is it without a crown to top the head of the birthday girl!
